Team Management

Roles that map to how studios actually work

Eight role-based permissions — from Super Admin to Site Engineer to Client — so every team member sees exactly what they need, nothing more. Your accountant doesn't see your client list. Your client doesn't see your finance.

Quick answer

InteriorOS has 8 roles: Super Admin · Admin · Manager · Accountant · Site Engineer · Supervisor · Viewer · Client. Roles drive what tabs appear and what actions are allowed. Submit-only roles (Site Engineer / Supervisor) queue expenses for owner approval. Multi-org switcher lets one user belong to several studios.

Multi-org switcher

One user, multiple studios

Designers who freelance for multiple studios, or owners running several brands, can switch between studios in one tap from the header. Each studio is isolated — no data leaks, no cross-access.

  • Studio chip at top-right of every header
  • Switch reloads the app with that studio's data
  • Each studio has its own team, projects, finances
  • Useful for franchise studios & freelancing designers

Client view

Clients see their build, nothing else

Invite the client with the Client role and assign them to their project. They get read-only access to that project's overview, designs, laminates, DPR and tasks — they literally cannot see your finances, your other projects or your team data. Builds trust without exposing your studio's internals.

  • Per-project read-only access
  • Sees: overview, designs, laminates, DPR, tasks
  • Cannot see: money, other projects, team data
  • Sees only approved designs and laminates
  • Push notifications when you post DPR or designs

The shift

From shared logins to real role-based access

Most studios share one login or use WhatsApp groups. Both are messy. InteriorOS gives every teammate exactly the access they need — and nothing more.

Without InteriorOS

  • Shared login passed around the team
  • Site engineer can edit / delete any data accidentally
  • Accountant gets screenshots, can't query freely
  • Client constantly asks "what's the update?"
  • No audit trail — who did what is anyone's guess
  • Onboarding new staff means handing over the password

With InteriorOS

  • Every teammate has their own login + role
  • Site engineer can only submit expenses; owner approves
  • Accountant sees finance directly, queries any period
  • Client sees their project's DPR and approved designs
  • Every action is timestamped to the user who did it
  • Invite by phone, role takes effect on first sign-in
FAQ

Common questions

What roles does InteriorOS support?
8 roles: Super Admin (owner), Admin (full operational access), Manager (no banking), Accountant (finance only), Site Engineer (execution + submit expenses for approval), Supervisor (DPR + attendance), Viewer (read-only studio-wide), Client (read-only on their assigned projects only).
Can I limit what the accountant can see?
Yes. The Accountant role only sees finance — transactions, parties, ledger and reports. They cannot see your client list, designs, attendance or other studio operations.
How do clients see only their own project?
Invite the client with the Client role and assign them to the specific project via Members. They get read-only access to that project's overview, designs, laminates, DPR and tasks. They cannot see studio finance, other projects or team data.
Can one user belong to multiple studios?
Yes. The studio chip at the top-right of the header lets users switch between studios they belong to. Each studio has its own data and team — no cross-access.
How does the approval workflow work?
Site Engineers and Supervisors can submit expenses but cannot finalise them. Submitted expenses queue with a "Pending Approval" pill on the Transactions tab. The Owner / Admin reviews and either approves (it counts in totals) or rejects with a note (audit logged).
Is there a limit on team size?
Free plan: 1 member. Solo: 1 member. Studio: up to 6 members. Agency: unlimited members. All plans include unlimited Client invites at no extra charge.
